Frank Lloyd Wright Building
King Kamehameha Golf Club
Waikapu, Maui
The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed clubhouse at King Kamehameha Golf Club was originally conceived as a summer retreat for Marilyn Monroe and her playwright-husband Arthur Miller.
In 2004 the clubhouse and golf course were purchased and restored by Tokyo entrepreneur, Makoto Kaneko. Dale has created five sculptures commissioned by Mr. Kaneko as part of the finishing touches on the restoration. Guided by historians, Kahunas and elders, Dale faithfully created a collection of sculptures that honor and perpetuate the beauty, power, and strength that is Hawaii.
