Alana started as a three thousand pound Monkeypod log. Sculpting almost daily on Wailea Beach during the sunsets from December 2002 to December 2003, it was the perfect setting to create her.
Alana (Hawaiian name meaning Awakening) crawls onto the beach to see where all the baby turtles are coming from and discovers a lone egg, un-hatched at the bottom of the nest. She
picks up the egg and much to her amazement watches it hatch in her hand.
She is available in life size and half sized limited edition bronze.
